The lack of robust tooling around Jupyter notebooks is a common nightmare for every data scientist. It’s astonishing how little progress has been made in notebook technology, despite its longstanding presence.
Throughout my career, I’ve used Databricks, AWS Sagemaker Studio, Google Colab, and local Jupyter notebooks. Databricks always seemed to offer the most comprehensive notebook environment for serious, enterprise-level coding. However, Google’s offering is more user-friendly and accessible.

Yet, I must admit, the combination of Google Colab and Codeium’s Chrome plugin has been a game-changer for my productivity when coding in a browser. Additionally, its integration with Colab enhances collaboration with team members by allowing simultaneous editing and real-time updates.
